LGBTQI
LGBTQI Adults are more than twice as likely to experience mental health issues than heterosexual adults. If you are part of this umbrella, you have my support. We know that your sexual and gender identity are not mental health conditions, however, being a part of the LGBTQI community increases your risk of mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addictions, codependency, etc. You may face rejection and discrimination from your family or other support groups as well as strangers. You need a friend on the voyage of self-discovery and learning how to live authentically. You will learn techniques for coping with your emotions and thoughts in healthy and productive ways and stop harmful or self-destructive behaviors.
“Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.”
